Bizjak is my favourite place to shop from spring to fall hands down! The produce is always fresh and I love being able to shop seasonally and locally. The owner Mimi is the loveliest woman and my kids absolutely love going to visit her at the farm stand. She uses natural farming techniques whenever possible which is important to our family. My kids love her strawberries and jarred peaches while I'll happily eat a box of peaches myself. She always as different fruits, vegetables and pantry items available like honey and maple syrup.
Purchased a half bushel of peaches for $25. Terrible product and such a waste of hard earned money. The lady was assuring us over and over that there was nothing work with them, they were just a smaller size. If it wasn't that I live 2hrs away I would have returned them as more than half went into my green waste bin. We have never purchased from this farm before and nor will I be visiting this location again. Be honest with your customers!!!
I've had good experiences here in the past, but on my most recent visit I found worms/bugs in at least 3 of the peaches I bought...for $9/basket I'd expect better quality fruit. Won't be back in a hurry.
I called in and asked if they had peaches on hand and what type of varieties as I told the woman that I would be travelling 40 minutes to get to the location. Well the woman was pretty rude and told me that she was busy serving clients and would barely answer my questions,and in a hurry to close the phone on me. Well then why do you have a phone number on your website,is it for social calls or calls regarding your supply on hand.if you can't he bothered by prospective customers asking legit questions,maybe u should remove your phone number then.
Went today got concord grapes and Bartlett pears take the pears out of the basket what do they put on the bottom the smallest pears not very please with that and will never be back.i went once before now I realize why I never went back since my husband and I live way out of town
The staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Purchased the free stone peaches and ginger gold apples. Both were delicious and I have a new favorite apple.
Great fruits and love the gelato. They have peach flavour and chocolate one. I like them both however the chocolate one is rich and better than expected!
